Basic family recipes to get you started

Beef Broth

Put all of the following ingredients in a pot on the stove before transferring it to your fondue pot!

1 onion soup packet

2 cups of water

a pinch of oregano, thyme, Italian seasoning

2 bay leaves

1 tbs of dried parsley (can replace with fresh parsley)

2 minced garlic cloves

1 small diced onion

celery salt to taste

a celery branch

2 tbs of cocktail sauce

1 glass of red wine (optional)

On low heat, boil for 5-10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking.

Suggestion: For an even more flavorful broth, prepare it a day in advance and keep it in the fridge until ready to serve. Reheat on the stove and transfer to your fondue pot. Enjoy!

Here are some common items for this type of fondue:

sliced beef strips, shrimp, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli

Tip: It's a good idea to make extra broth since it tends to be used up quickly and you'll need more to refill the pot.

Garlic Sauce

In a small bowl, combine all of the following ingredients.

1/4 cup of mayonnaise

2 tbs of sour cream

1-2 minced garlic cloves

1/4 tsp paprika

1/8 tsp dried mustard powder

Prepare a day in advance so the flavors can mix. Keep in the fridge until serving.

Tip: To avoid running out, I recommend doubling this recipe!

Curry Sauce

1/4 cup of mayonnaise

1/4 cup of 10% plain yogurt

1 tsp of curry powder

1/4 tsp of ground turmeric

Prepare a day in advance so the flavors can mix. Keep in the fridge until serving.

Tip: To avoid running out, I recommend doubling this recipe!
